Homemade Almond Milk

Here is a recipe that I have been using for years to make our almond milk.  Almond milk is so pricey at stores and can be full of lots of junk you just don’t want.  This recipe is a fun one for kids because they love squeezing the hell out of that nut milk bag and getting messy!  You can also add some natural sweetness to this with dates or totally leave them out!  The cinnamon gives it a nice touch and also an anti-oxidant boost!

Ingredients:

1 cup soaked almonds
4 cups filtered water
2 tsp cinnamon
2-4 dates, chopped

Add all ingredients to high powered blender and blend until creamy/milk consistency.  Using a nut milk bag, strain milk and squeeze the bag until all milk is out and remains are dry.  Store in an airtight container for 1 week.

Only problem with this is that we go through it sooo fast!  Enjoy!
