Balsamic Vinaigrette Recipe

So people… this is the dressing!  Seriously though, I have struggled with finding the perfect dressing for the whole family and I finally came up with the crowd pleasing recipe!

I love a great balsamic dressing that has a little bit of tang and a bit of sweet.  My youngest basically drinks this dressing, and I can convince all of my kids to eat any veggie with this as a dip too.  Here goes:

1 tbsp honey*
1 tbsp dijon mustard
½  teaspoon fine sea salt
¼ black pepper finely ground
1 large garlic clove minced
¼  cup balsamic vinegar
¾  cup extra virgin olive oil

Whisk together all ingredients and store in a airtight container for 1 week in the refrigerator.  If it solidifies, place in warm water.

  • A NOTE ON HONEY:  honey is an excellent natural sweetener.  I typically buy raw honey, but a good tip is to buy local honey, meaning honey that is local to where you spend most of your time.  Not only are you supporting your community, but local honey is actually great for helping you combat any allergies in your specific environment as bees are a crucial part of the pollination process.
